SPORTSFEST/PICNIC

Hey, i hope everyone is doing well, especially with exams nearing. I know things are getting a little hectic, but i figured that you guys would need a reliever, a day off if you will from all the stress of school and the other things in your lives. So that is why im proposing we use this upcoming weekend to have a SPORTSFEST!!! since we didnt get a chance to play any sports at our last GA, so i thought this might be a great chance to do so. and on top of it WE CAN HAVE A PICNIC!!! ahahah
however it will be a potluck, leaders will have to bring certain items so that we dont have a lot of the same thing, i will assign you guys on what you have to bring.
oh and make sure you guys bring one other thing..YOURSELVES!!!! i'll bring the equipment and all that jazz.

NEEDS 15 PEOPLE MINIMUM

I would really like to encourage all of you to come to this event to support our sister program (KFC) and to support GK. This event is open to all members in the North/East and Central Area. This event allows the YFC's to integrate themselves with the KFC's of this community. At this event, YFC's who participate have the chance to be a big brother / big sister for the day by going through various activities with their selected KFC in a "play-day" / carnival environment. Along with the details of the event, such as date, time and location, there is a $3.00 registration fee. Also, bring your own lunches, even though snacks will be provided. And keep some extra change with you, because some of the things may require a contribution for GK.

GOOD SHEPHERD

CHANGE OF PLANS! OUR HOUSEHOLD ASSEMBLY IS CANCELLED THIS WEEK!

Instead, we will be helping the GOOD SHEPHERD REFUGE ON SUNDAY!

Good Shepherd is a Christian homeless and rehabilitation centre. We will be doing simple tasks like preparing food, making beds, sweeping floors, etc.

When: Sunday, March 15, 2009 9:45-3:30PM

MEETING PLACE: Scarborough Town Centre @ 9AM SHARP

Why: To be champions of the poor and show concern for social justice!

Fellowship Feb 28/09...SKATING!!!!!

hey everyone!

hope everything's going well with you guys.

it's a new month so guess what!

it's time for a fellowship!

this month, we're going skating, yay!

here are the details:

• skating at harbour front!
• this event will take place on saturday, february 28. (this saturday!)
• it's for everyone in markham.
• meeting place will be at town centre station at 12pm!
  
• skating rentals are $7 per adult. (a driver’s license, credit card, passport, birth certificate or citizenship card is required to rent skates. you cannot use student cards, ttc passes and health cards to rent.)
• it's from 1pm - 3pm. (we can all go to eaton's to eat afterwards if you guys want.)
